It snowed in Pittsburgh
It snowed in Pittsburgh this week and I'm fucking mad about it π‘ not really, though. π Honestly, I'm not a big fan of snow and 'round about this time of year I get a really intense itch to get outside. The cabin fever is real, ya'll! I JUST WANT TO GO FOR A NICE WARM HIKE IN THE WOODS WITHOUT FREEZING! Like, is that too much to ask?!
I know I'm basically throwing a temper tantrum right now. But, I genuinely feel like a little kid that got grounded and can't go outside for a month. Winter feels like a punishment. I tried so damn hard to enjoy the cold this year, and I did so well until recently. This past snow has really put a bit a damper on my joyful Springy vibes. I know Amanda is beyond happy about this last hoo-rah of winter, but I'm cold and angsty. Stop asking the faeries for snow, dammit! πππ
I decided to pull some old photos from warmer days to make myself feel better. These all weren't taken on the same day or the same place. Some of them are actually taken years apart from each other. But, the colors in this selection of photos feel so warm to me and take me back to happier times. I'm leaning in hard into the warm color pallets and neutral colors. As much as I love bright rainbow colors, I love earth tones and warm tones more. I can feel the bright, inspiring call of spring just around the corner and I'm getting impatient as I daydream about photographing bugs on ferns and sunsets over Black Eyed Susan fields. Can it be Spring already?
