ABOUT

Welcome, friends!

If this is the first time we're meeting, hello, my name is Holly Erinn. This blog is a place where I share random ramblings on motherhood, art, spiritual expansion, and creativity as a whole concept. I started this blog a few years ago when I turned 30 as a fresh start and my own little corner of the internet free from all the noise and chaos of ads and political discourse. As a millennial, I'm from the era of fashion bloggers and tumblr, so this blog is a nod to those indie-sleaze days of yesteryear!

Join me as I fumble my way through homemaking and motherhood while still trying to maintain a sense of that old artist self from my pre-Penny days. We'll gab about spiritualism and crafts here and there and I may throw in a sappy post every now and again about how much I love my kid!

This blog also serves as my online shop and landing page for all of my creative endeavors. Here, you'll find any of my large-scale pieces for sale, smaller art drops, print announcements and request forms for commissions.

What is 'Damp Earth Arts'?
It is the feeling I'm trying to cultivate with this space. When I think of the phrase 'damp earth' I can almost smell the deep forest after a light rain. It is a cozy, dark feeling that brings me back to a time of magic and mystery in my childhood exploring the woods behind my gram's house in Appalachia. It is full of possibilities and chances for growth. It is unpredictable and exciting. It's earthy and rich. It calls upon all the critters of the forest to explore and create magic together, taking advantage of the energy that the rains bring out.

If that all sounds intriguing to you, stick around. We can explore this juicy, extravagant experience we call life and creativity together!

with all my love,
Holly Erinn
